Merpods Go with the Flow
Book
Kelpie woke up on the sandy bed of the beautiful pond where they lived near the weeping wisteria tree. The pond was peaceful and perfect and nothing ever changed. Until one day they discovered a glowing golden pearl in their sea cabbage garden.
Kelpie went to their Merpod friends to see if they could find who the pearl belonged to. They knew such a bright pearl must be made of Flow, so they set off to ask all the Flow-rescant creatures of the sea if they were missing a pearl.

Ariel went to the shallow tidepool where Sea Flowcumber lived to see if the pearl was hers. The Flowcumber had been munching on plankton all day. She was not missing a pearl.
Nori went to the seagrass bed where the Flowrescant Sea Riffraffs napped. She asked them all if they had lost a pearl. They said "neigh." Jelly went to talk to the Flowy Floatfish. They invited Jelly to play tentacle tennis, but had not lost a pearl.

Finally Kelpie travelled to the deep sea to talk to the Giant Flowclam. The Flowclam was crying, because she'd been working on a special project for decades, only to discover it had gone missing. Kelpie showed the Giant Flowclam her pearl.
"Is this it?" they asked. The Flowclam was so happy to see her pearl that she grabbed it tight in her shell. It felt good for Kelpie to give back.
