You: Rogue is all yours.
Zeki: I knew I could rely on your savvy negotiating skills.
Zeki: Hey, if you wanna play. I think Ashura may be about to drop out. Go talk to him if you're interested.
You: He...uh...went rogue.
Zeki: Seriously??? Now I'm back to square uno. Gotta decide if I reeeaaallly want to play the rogue or if I want to do something unique.
You: 
You could be a magic user.
Zeki: You know I have wanted to try the new Flow Artificer class. I mean, the thing's written by a majiri, so the understandin' of Flow mechanics is WAY off, but maybe I can come up with some homebrew rules.
