Einar: Hekla informed me that your gifts mean you expect "certain things" of me, is this correct?
You: 
What exactly did she say?
Einar: She says you wish for me to give you something in return, so here, have this rock.
Einar: I have named him Rocky. Do you like him?
You: 
I like anything you give me.
Einar: This is not the reaction I had in mind. I had expected you to be overjoyed by Rocky.
Einar: He is one of my most favorite pebbles. Where did I go wrong?
You: Maybe you should have asked what I like?
Einar: I do suppose different beings are desirous of different gifts.
Einar: One could learn what a companion is desirous of through verbal communication...
Einar: If only I had time to pursue conversation with everyone then I could get gifts the whole village would desire...
Einar: But, alas, I cannot abandon my other Oneness to make the necessary inquiries.
