You: I found this family photo at the Remembrance Garden.
Najuma: ...Oh! That's me, my mom, and my dad.
Najuma: I'm guessing my dad dropped it when he was visiting my mom's remembrance site.
You:
Does he go there often?
Najuma: Only really on special occasions.
Najuma: I can actually remember bits and pieces from the day we took that photo, if you can believe it.
Najuma: My mom couldn't get me to stay still, so she gave me a sparkler to calm me down.
You:
Did it work?
Najuma: Yeah. Having something to look at and hold kept me distracted while we posed for the picture.
Najuma: My mom was... beautiful, inside and out. She had this way of making people smile when they were having a bad time.
Najuma: ...I miss her.
You:
I know.
Najuma: What makes it worse is that I don't remember much about my mom.
Najuma: I was really young when she died, so I don't have that many memories of her.
Najuma: But when I look at this picture... it's like I can feel her here with me, somehow.
Najuma: ...A-Anyway, I'll take this. Have these as thanks for returning the photo to me, and um... bye?

Talk about reckless parenting...
Najuma: B-But it wasn't even the dangerous kind!
Najuma: ...Sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice like that. I just don't want anybody to get the wrong idea about my mom.
