Dialogue with Taylin

Taylin: HA! Hear that, Taylin? I'm the most eligible Majiri in Kilima!

Taylin: Mm. Not many people have what it takes to handle all of you, Sifuu. Lucky I'm so flexible.

Taylin: Did it just get hotter in here, or is it just me? Whew, I'm sweatin' all of a sudden.

Taylin: Not all of them. It's strange... some times are seared in my mind, tiny details. But other memories are just... feelings, and everything else is a nebulous cloud.

Taylin: I'm just glad you still remember us. Though if you had forgotten, I'd just win you over again. As many times as it took.

Taylin: I don't think you'd have to work very hard. But it might be fun to see you try anyways.

Taylin: ...

Taylin: What's wrong?

Taylin: Nothing. I just-

Taylin: I've forgotten a lot, but I never forgot the last words you ever said to me.

Taylin: You're just going to leave? What about us? What about Hassian?

Taylin: This is the kind of stupid I'm supposed to get up to, not you! Who cares about our reputation, we'll build a new one!

Taylin: You don't come back and I'll never forgive you, Taylin.

Taylin: ...Yeah, I remember. I meant it, too.

Taylin: So it's a good thing you came back.

Taylin: That's it? You aren't angry? If I were you, I'd be kicking my ass right now-

Taylin: I gave up that anger a long time ago. Chasing after the Beast was stupid... but I've done lots of stupid things before, too.

Taylin: You just lost the dice roll on the consequences this time. Our luck had to run out eventually.

Taylin: ...Even if I'd make the same choice again?

Taylin: (Sifuu and Taylin's gazes both slide over to Ulfe, who is happily shoveling endless fries into his mouth.)

Taylin: (He drops one on the ground and drops down to grab it without hesitation, not even wiping it off before eating it.)

Taylin: (Tau happily sits by his side, munching down a plate of hot hounds that Ulfe must have given him.)

Taylin: Yeah. Even so. If I were in your shoes, knowing what I know now... I'd do the same exact thing.

Taylin: So how can I be mad at you? Time's got a way of washing away even the worst pain eventually.

Taylin: ...Don't know what I did to deserve you. I'd still feel better if you kicked my ass a little.

Taylin: Then we'll go down to the bay tomorrow and have ourselves a whole wrestling tourney. Gotta see if you're really recovered, anyways!
