It's been a joy to see you find a home in the village. I haven't felt this much like a proud papa since Nuroo took his first steps. It has been a great joy to be your Shepp and guide you through your journey. With that being said, I'd like to introduce you to one of my favorite traditions. Winterlights! During Winterlights, we light candles with those we care about to symbolize hope for a new spring during the darkest time of the year. Throughout the years, it transformed into an important celebration where we eat food and share stories with the ones we love. I have provided you with a candle, so you can share this tradition with your own kith and kin. PS - Jina told me that humans used to bring trees into their homes and decorate them for a winter celebration called Frostide. Though I can't fathom why someone would cut down a perfectly good tree without a practical purpose... Winterlights is all about embracing the traditions of all. In this spirit, I have included a sturdy pine with your candle deliveries. Maybe you can invite others to participate as well? Who knows, some of the kids around here may get a real kick out of it?
