The boys, Delaila, and I were sitting down for our first night of Winterlights and I realized we'd forgotten to include an important member of the family...YOU! Heck, I ain't even explained what Winterlights is! During Winterlights, we light candles with those we care about to symbolize hope for a new spring during the darkest time of the year. Winterlights means something a little different to everybody. Some people pray to Maji for a better crop and food to make it through the winter. Other people just use it as an excuse to enjoy each others company and enjoy good food. Whatever the reason for the season, I want you to be a part of it. So I gave you a candle to light with people you care about. Isn't that nifty? PS - Jina also told me I should include a tree for you to decorate since that's a human Winterlights tradition. When I saw an opportunity to combine our holidays, I knew I WOOD take on the challenge. Anyway, a little birdie named Badruu told your friends that if you drop by with a candle, they should give you a decoration for your tree.
