As I put me peki in the oven for the first night of Winterlights, I'm reminded of how this year I'll needa put out an extra spot on me table. Bein' your Shepp has been an honor and I don't want ya to think that my duty ends at your Acceptance Ceremony. It is my job as your Shepp to teach you about our traditions. And one of our most dear traditions is coming upon us now. During Winterlights, we light candles with those we care about to symbolize hope for a new spring during the darkest time of the year. I'm sharing me favorite candle recipe so you can share your light with those you hold dear. Feel free to drop on by for dinner anytime since you're one of those folks for me. PS - Jina told me that humans often decorated a tree this time of year for a festival they called Frostide. Can you imagine? The other villagers decided to get together since we thought it would be fun to incorporate your traditions with ours. When you share your light with your friends, expect a little somethin' for yourself in return.
