As I wish upon my Winterlights for a visit from the legendary Snowy Skitterer, I was reminded that as a Shepp it is my duty to share our traditions to you. Most people would have you believe that during Winterlights, we light candles with those we care about to symbolize hope for a new spring during the darkest time of the year. I am one of the few who knows that the TRUE reason is to welcome in the Snowy Skitterer. After all, if you see one during winter, it means you'll have a wonderful spring. Regardless of how you wish to celebrate, you'll need a candle to do so. I included the recipe most likely to attract the lucky beast. You don't want to find out what happens if you don't put the lights out...those who didn't are no longer around. PS - Jina told me that humans often decorated a tree this time of yearfor a festival they called Frostide. Since skitterers love trees, I thought maybe you could try putting a candle or two on yours? Or maybe other decorations are more traditional? Ask around and I'm sure you can find a few people who can help.
