Taylin: Hassian made it back just before you... buuuut I saved enough prizes for everyone. Here, a whole bag of Candied Kopaa Nuts!
Taylin: Your form was as perfect as ever, mama.
Taylin: Haven't shot an arrow in twenty years... but you never forget. Still, you two might give me a run for my money.
Taylin: Just... wish I'd been there to teach you, too. Guess someone else got to do that, huh?
Taylin: ...I taught myself.
Taylin: I'm sorry. You shouldn't have had to.
Taylin: It's fine. That's all in the past now.
Taylin: ...Is it? You keep saying that, but... a mom knows when her kid is hurting.
Taylin: ...Is that why you did all of this? Invited me out? You thought we'd have a nice chat, shoot some arrows, and I'd cry and bear my soul?
Taylin: What? No! I just wanted to spend some time with you.
Taylin: Why can't you just listen to me, then? Why can't we just have a nice conversation without you trying to dig up old wounds?
Taylin: That's not what I-
Taylin: Then drop it! Stop picking at it! I am trying my best to be fine!
Taylin: But you AREN'T fine, Hassian!
Taylin: AND WHOSE FAULT IS THAT?!
Taylin: ...
Taylin: ...
Taylin: ...I am going to go. Please don't follow me.
Taylin: (Taylin watches helplessly as Hassian stalks off.)
Taylin: Well. I messed that up about as badly as anyone could mess something up.
Taylin: ...I shouldn't have picked at it. Should have left it and waited to see if the scab fell off on its own.
Taylin: I just... get so worried that it's festering inside him, building pressure, until I lose him completely.
You: 
It's... complicated.
Taylin: Yeah... that's one word for it, huh.
Taylin: Oh well. I never thought being a mom would be easy. Just... wish I'd gotten more practice before the test.
Taylin: You've been a better friend to me than I might deserve... but I've always been a little bit selfish.
Taylin: ...I'm gonna go. Think I need to lick my wounds a little bit.
Taylin: But thanks for coming today. I had a lot of fun... and I hope Hassian did, too.
You: 
He's bad at communicating.
Taylin: That's not his job. I should be meeting him where he's at, not expecting him to come to me. I just... can't figure out how to do it.

Taylin: ...I'm gonna go. Think I need to lick my wounds a little bit.

Taylin: No... not right now. He asked for space, so I'm gonna give him space.
